ISTITUTO DI MODA BURGO IN BRAZIL
DIRECTOR: DANIELA COLZANI
We are especially pleased for bringing to Brazil the Italian tradition both in fashion training as well as in design innovation devised by IMB throughout its over 50 years. After a personal experience as a student and a teacher in our Milan headquarters, I do believe that IMB Brazil can contribute to the betterment of quality standards in local labour force and help national industry excel in world fashion market, not only sharing specific know-how and knowledge but also inspiring the very true passion that moves world’s best designers.
Brazil’s first branch of IMB was inaugurated in 2015 in the city of Brusque, State of Santa Catarina. The founder and director of IMB headquarters in Milan Fernando Burgo made himself present on the occasion, emphasizing the importance of the new school as IMB expands its international scope. Run by the prize-awarded designer Daniela Colzani, the branch replicates the permanent concern regarding excellence both in training skills and evolving the capacity for creativity and innovation. Personalised study plans, based on exclusive textbooks, are combined with continuous monitored practice, both of them moulding the methodology that maximizes time and energizes our students’ full potential, which have granted long-time recognition to IMB as one of the best fashion schools in the world.
